Paul is a Senior Associate in the Electricity Markets, Financial Services, and Commercial Real Estate Groups of the Calgary office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Paul has broad experience in all areas of real estate law, and has developed expertise working with numerous renewable energy developers operating in multiple provinces across Canada. For renewable energy developers, Paul drafts, reviews, and comments on Solar and Wind Option Agreements, Lease Agreements, and Purchase Agreements with respect to renewable energy projects. In addition to working with renewable electricity developers looking to develop private lands, Paul has provided advice with respect to Crown Dispositions of lands for the purposes of developing renewable electricity. Paul has also acted for renewable energy developers with respect to the acquisition of “shovel ready” projects.

Paul was born in Australia, raised in Victoria, British Columbia and moved to Calgary in 2007 where he attended law school. Paul and his wife Jessica recently had their first child, a daughter named Ava. Paul enjoys hiking, bicycling, and fishing with his father-in-law in the Nipigon River.
